The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was set up in 1963 by the Government of India as an autonomous organization to help professionalize the country's foreign trade management and increase exports by developing human resources; generating, analyzing and disseminating data; and conducting research. The Institute has trained more than 40,000 business professionals across 30 countries in various facets of international business and trade policy via its Management Development Programs. The Institute caters to the requirements of aspiring International Business executives and mid-career professionals alike. IIFT, New Delhi is ranked 9th in India Amongst Management Institutes.

This course is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and application of Business Intelligence and Analytics as an effective aid to managerial decision making process. At the end of the course, participants must be able to understand access to data, methods of quantitative analysis, concepts of data mining, data visualization and use of key performance indicators, dashboards and scorecards for performance management. Participants will also gain insight on application and problem solving across different industries including knowledge of popular technical tools used in Business Analytics.

Eligibility:

  • For Indian Participants - Graduates (10+2+3) or Diploma Holders (only 10+2+3) from a recognized university/institute (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU/State Government) in any discipline.
  • For International Participants - Graduation or equivalent degree from any recognized University or Institution in their respective country.
  • For Indian and International Participants - Working professionals with a minimum of 01 year of full time work experience as on 01 Jun 2015.

Course Objective

This course has been designed with an objective to familiarize participants with key aspects of management and dynamics of the global marketplace. The participant is expected to gain working knowledge of core management domains and develop a deep understanding of the framework within which international businesses operate.

In particular participants are expected to

  • Learn the intricacies of business economics and money management and its application in a global environment.
  • Understand elements of marketing and consumer behavior and how these elements differ with respect to national and international context.
  • Develop skills in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems in the real business world through effective strategy formulation and implementation.
  • Explore the rules that apply to international trade in goods, services and labor through a deeper understanding of the global business environment and international trade logistics.
